The Peace Lily, also known as the White Sail Plant or Spathiphyllum, is one of the most popular plants to grow indoors. It's known to filter toxins from the air, the toxins include benzene, formaldehyde, trichloroethylene, xylene, and ammonia. The Peace Lily is a very common houseplant which is known for its brilliant white flowers and acceptance of dark places. The plant does not need large amounts of light or water to survive. It is also known to remove mold spores.
Keep them hydrated by misting the leaves with water and keeping the soil lightly misted (never soggy) as well with good drainage. Always allow the top soil to dry out before watering. Do not overwater, as it may cause root rot. Apply a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer (20-20-20) once a month when watering.
